Les vêtements présentés sont tout à fait remarquables et fidèles à l'histoire de la mode occidentale. Les patrons et les explications sont très détaillés pour chaque modèle et de plus, les photos sont ravissantes.

Ce livre est vraiment superbe, les réalisations des modèles sont assez simples en partant de tissus anciens et également des modèles originaux qui vont aussi bien sur des poupées anciennes que récentes, les illustrations sont très bien faites et bravo pour l'auteur qui a fait preuve d'originalité!

Trouver autant de possibilités de créations pour plusieurs tailles de poupées dans un seul ouvrage, je ne l'aurais jamais espéré. Et pourtant, il existe et je ne peux que le recommander vivement à tout amateur de costumes d'époque. De plus les illustrations et la mise en page sont magnifiques. Encore bravo.

Même les tenues très simples à réaliser ont beaucoup de chic, de naturel!!!De plus, même pour une personne ne parlant pas (comme moi) l'anglais couramment, avec un lexique des termes de tricot traduits (on en trouve à télécharger sur internet) et un dico anglais/français, il est très facile de s'adonner à la réalisation de ces Superbes vêtements!!!Et quelle joie pour les petites filles qui auront des tenues Barbie personnalisées

The techniques used range from Hawaiian applique and traditional applique methods to Grandmother's Flower Garden using the English paper piecing method and even a delightful little Yo-yo quilt. This book is not aimed at the beginner but at the quilter who understands how patchwork and applique quilts are made and planned and how to choose fabrics. Some suggestions are made at the beginning for finishing techniques and there are some general basic instructions but most of the quilts are complex enough that you will need to know what you are doing before you start.
