Making & dressing dolls'house dolls in 1/12 scale
Sue Atkinson, Christina Harris, (Préface de Venus A. Dodge),

David & Charles Publishers; Édition : New Ed (janvier 2003)

How to Make Clay Characters
de Maureen Carlson
North Light Books (mars 1997)
Polymer clay figures used as characters in cartoon films are familiar to us. Because the clay is so easily worked, it is not difficult to make one's own figures to use in doll houses or other miniature settings. Carlson's manual includes general information on supplies and techniques as well as step-by-step projects for a variety of representative figures from a wide range of age groups. The color illustrations showing work in progress as well as finished figures are excellent, and the often humorous clothed characters are portrayed doing many activities.

Creating Life-Like Animals in Polymer Clay
Katherine Dewey

North Light Books (mars 2000)

Creating Life-Like Figures in Polymer Clay
Katherine Dewey
Elvenwork Pr (novembre 2003)
If you aspire to be a figurative sculptor or already are one, this is a book you must have. In her no-nonsense, show-how-it's-done teaching style, Katherine shows with more than 400 full color photos, detailed illustrations, and step-by-step instructions how to do it all. Her modeling methods are not complicated. Rather than relying on classical "muscle on bone" physiology, she teaches how to sculpt exquisite figurines in any scale using her simple applique approach. Her book teaches anyone how to sculpt realistic human figures, but there is much more between the covers of this 144 page resource.

Making Animal Characters With Clay
de Sherian Frey

North Light Books (octobre 2000)
Cernit, and Sculpey-- realizes another dimension in former art teacher Frey's book. Fifteen characters of all shapes and some sizes come to life with her incredibly detailed instructions, much like Will Vinton's Claymation figures. Setting the stage are two chapters on appropriate preparations: clay features and characteristics, tools, and methods (including how to shape ropes, balls, cones, and sheets). Then, three chapters--segregated by level of difficulty--highlight the projects, from Simple Bobby Bookworm to the armature-supported Dexter Dalmatian, firedog. Plus, Frey anticipated most if not all of readers' questions, including information on storage, the right working surface, and even hand cleaning.
